First Impressions

First impressions have eternal significance! Studies show that a first-time church visitor decides in the first ten minutes whether they will return the following week. From parking lots to coffee pots and many things in between, this ministry is a vital tool for reaching out and making everyone feel welcome. Building & Facilities Team

As you can see, the Lord has provided us with a wonderful building. It's a basketball court, a place for ladies' teas, and, oh yea, church on weekends! All this means there's a lot of work that needed moving things around to make it all happen. Not only this but there's a lot of grass and foliage to be maintained so this is the ministry to get involved in if you have a heart for the behind the scenes service that is so vital in order for us to do the Lord's work.

Connection Center Attendants

The Connection Center is the place to stop for any information you might need! Join the team to help people to sign up for classes, register for special events, purchase tickets for exciting shows and concerts, or pick up their orders for CD's and T-shirts. All you need to help out here is a friendly face that either has the information people need, or is willing to find it!

Greeters

Here at Hope Point Nazarene we are known for the warm, friendly reception we give to visitors. There is an outpouring of Christ in us and we have a team of greeters who are not afraid to let Him out! If you're one of those people you might consider joining this ministry team.

Naz Cafe Staff

This is a unique service we provide by helping our visitors avoid the line at Starbucks and pick up their mochas and lattes right here at church! We're always looking for more window staff and Barristas so chat with us next time you visit!

Parking Attendants

I'm sure you've noticed that a church that's growing as quickly as ours finds itself in need of more parking - praise God for these folks! They help us get in and out of the parking lot and give us space when backing out is a slow process.

Refreshment Coordinators

This is a team of early birds who prepare the coffee and refreshments for everyone on Sunday mornings - bless them! They also prepare and serve food for other special events at the church on a rotating basis, so if your passion lies in the kitchen, consider joining this team.

Ushers

If you've been to our church at the 9:30am service, you appreciate the value of finding a seat - we have a wonderful team of ushers who help you do just that! They also take up the offering and give general direction and help to newcomers. They're just one more way we make a good First Impression!

Weekly Landscape Maintenance

This team does our weekly maintenance on projects such as mowing, edging, trimming and any basic yard work that needs to be done around the facility. This is a great opportunity for all you 'green thumbs' to get together and get dirty for the Lord!
