Students

Students

It is amazing to see how God can work in and through the lives of students who are connected with Him. We believe that God is deeply in love with students and desires to have a personal relationship with them. We also believe that it is through this relationship with God that hope is found and the lives of our students are transformed. We want every student to experience God during their time with us. That is why we can offer as many opportunities as we can to help them know God, and grow in their faith.

Bible Quizzing

Hiding God's Word in our hearts is vital in being able to respond like Christ in our world. This is a fun way to do just that. The quiz team meets every Sunday in the Lighthouse to study the Bible. Then they travel around to test their knowledge of the bible with other churches within our district.

Breakout Groups

These groups challenge students to breakout and grow in their faith in a more intimate setting. We study God's truths and go deeper together. These groups include both Junior High and High School students and meet in the choir room.

DIG Groups

DIG (Deeper Into God) groups are student initiated groups that meet on various campuses throughout our area. We provide the students with pizza and a word of inspiration once a week, to encourage and strengthen them as they live out their faith in their schools.

High School Night

Each Wednesday night the doors open at 6pm for open basketball, volleyball, or time to grab a free snack and hang out with friends. At 7pm we have worship and a message that applies God's word to students everyday lives. We also have a time for students to talk with God or be prayed with by our adult staff and prayer team.

Jr/Sr High Student Ministries

Brent Kall, Pastor of Student Ministries

Yuba City Nazarene Student Ministries exists to meet students where they are at and lead them directly into a personal relationship with God. Everything we do is designed to point them to the one who created them and loves them like no one else can. We offer times of student involved worship, relevant teaching, and opportunities to connect with other students who are on the same journey that they are. We have a group of committed adult staff members, as well, who are here each week to support and care for our students and their needs.

Junior High Night

Every Tuesday night this is the place where Junior High students belong. We open up the doors at 6pm for some basketball, football, or just a chance to connect with friends. Then at 6:30pm this high energy experience geared specifically for Junior High students kicks off. The evening is stuffed with fun games, crazy videos, student involved worship music, and impactful talks. It is our desire to help students grow closer to God, and discover who He has created them to be in a safe environment. We have an amazing group of adult staff members who love Junior High students and are here every Tuesday to encourage and positively influence their lives.

Transit Ministry

Todd Keough, Associate Pastor, Student Ministries

Transit is a diverse group of young men and women who are committed to growing closer to God, while living a life that demonstrates their desire to serve Him! We welcome young adults ranging in age from 18-29, regardless of where you are in your journey with God.

We strongly believe in ministering to those who are “on the move” or going through a transition of becoming a better Christian. Most of our group is made up of active college students, but we gladly welcome those who are not in school, too! We offer food, fellowship, worship, prayer, and an overall sense of community with people your own age.

For more information regarding Transit, please email Rachel or give her a call at 674-9097. For prayer needs, or for general college aged outreach, please email us at transitprayers@yahoo.com.
