Janet Whittington

A little about Janet...

Janet and her two children moved to Gridley in Sept of 1999. She was not raised in a church, but was always searching for something more in her life. “ I knew and believed there was a God but never knew his love and grace”. In 1992, she accepted the Lord into her life but still went on living the same way. She never connected with a church and still some six years later, in 2003, it was then when a friend invited her to Gridley Nazarene Church. “I fell in love with the people, but most importantly I completely surrendered myself to Christ. My life hasn’t been the same since!” She has since been baptized and became a member of the Nazarene Church.
In November 2007, Janet came on board as Gridley’s church secretary and assistant to Pastor Sean. Janet’s heart is in her work, and in Compassionate Ministries, Disaster Relief and helping women who are hurting through divorce or separation. She also enjoys genealogy, photography, reading but most of all lives for spending time with her family and church family. Janet has a daughter Briana, who is away at college, a son, Jacob, in Junior High, and a dog named Gizmo.
