Jim Davis

A little about Jim...

Jim was born in Indiana and raised in the Catholic church. More importantly, however was the time in the late 70's when Jim not only met Jesus Christ and made Him Lord, but he also met "the most fantastic woman I had ever known... beautiful, wise, gracious... the adjectives are boundless."

Jim and Michele married and they lived in Fresno for about ten years. Then Jim's job as a financial administrator at a hospital brought him to Yuba City. After attending several churches they were invited by friends to the Yuba City Church of the Nazarene. "From the moment we walked through the doors we felt loved and cared for and knew that we had found our church home."

Jim and Michele have been serving on the Men's and Women's leadership teams for several years, but then Jim was asked to join the staff as the Church Administrator; a position the Pastor felt the church needed to fill as a result of the phenomenal growth they've experienced. Jim gladly accepted. However, one year later God moved him into a postion he is passionate about - Compassionate Ministries where he can help us as a body to come along side those in the community who need our help. "I now find myself rather seriously engaged in Kingdom work for the first time in my life. It feels right and good that I re-harness myself to God's business instead of coasting along in retirement until I go home. In fact, He has been showing me how much I need to finish strong in His service. I am humbled and grateful."
