A little about Gary...

Gary was raised in a Christian home and at the age of 12 he made a commitment to Christ and was baptized. He sensed God calling him into full time ministry during college, but was more intent on sports and where he thought that could take him than on what God was saying.

Shortly after graduating, he realized God had something more for him and he pointed his life toward ministry and is still on that path today. Gary has pastored churches in Nebraska, Idaho, Oregon and California and he and his wife LaVonna have served 10 years on the mission field in both Holland and Africa.

Ten years ago, God brought them to Yuba City. "From day one this has been an exciting place to see God work in the lives of people." Gary and LaVonna have three grown children and six grandchildren. They like to get away to a quiet place for a few days together whenever they can and Gary likes to play golf whenever possible.
